The Bundesliga giants are eager to keep adding to their squad after losing a number of key players at the end of last season, including Franck Ribery and Arjen Robben.
Coutinho has endured a difficult time at Camp Nou since his 2018 switch from Liverpool and only managed to score five La Liga goals last term.

The 24-year-old Mexican was substituted in Sunday's 3-1 win over Den Haag but the injury is not serious and talks are set to continue with the Serie A club.
PSV are reported to be keen to receive at least €40 million (£37m) for Lozano who has scored 34 goals in 59 apperances in Holland.

Russian clubs can still sign players until their transfer window closes on September 6.

Petke was suspended for two weeks on July 30 after an altercation with match officials, and the club dismissed him a day before that suspension was set to expire.
"We hold all of our coaches, players, executives and staff to the highest standards of professionalism.  As an organization, it is vital that everyone, particularly our leadership, reflects and embodies our core values and the values of our community, treating all people with respect, civility and professionalism," a club statement said.

Sport reports that Barca have decided to let the Brazilian leave this summer before his contract expires and have dropped their asking price to €10 million (£9m/$11m). 
Rafinha has reportedly already agreed personal terms with Valencia and his move could be completed once he returns from pre-season duties in the United States.

The report also claims Mauro Icardi could be set to go the opposite way with his time in Milan nearing an end.

Mesut Ozil's future at Arsenal remains in doubt with reports claiming the Gunners are looking to push through a deal with MLS side D.C. United.
The Express reports that Ozil's representatives will soon meet with D.C. to discuss a potential move which the Gunners may need to fund. 
While Wayne Rooney's looming departure gives the MLS side some extra cash to play with, they won't be able to offer half of Ozil's current weekly wage of over £300,000. 
That means Arsenal may potentially fund some of the move with the club apparently keen to offload the German.

AS reports that a deal for Radamel Falcao to join Galatasaray is close to being finalised with the Monaco striker to join the Turkish club on a three-year deal. 
The 33-year-old scored 15 league goals for Monaco last season and was first signed by the club back in 2013. 
Falcao infamously had two loan spells in the Premier League with Manchester United and Chelsea where he scored just five times across 36 league appearances.
